C. Wayne Longcrier

CPA Partner

 

Wayne Longcrier has over 40 years of experience as a CPA. Mr. Longcrier graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, Bakersfield in 1974.

He started his career with Moore, Abbott, and Barbich, CPAs in Bakersfield, CA where he was admitted as a partner in 1979. He and Lou Barbich left the company in 1984 to start their own partnership which grew into Barbich, Longcrier, Hooper and King, CPAs; a 75 person regional accounting firm.

Wayne received a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1991, the same year he moved to San Luis Obispo as the managing partner of that office. The San Luis Obispo office grew in 16 years from 10 to 35 people, then in July, 2008 Wayne left to start his own accounting firm, Longcrier and Associates, CPAs. In 2016 Chris Raymer and Bryce Boggs were admitted as partners and formed Longcrier & Associates CPAs, LLP with locations in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles.

Over his career, Wayne has worked with a variety of small and mid-sized businesses, closely-held entities, and financially diversified individuals. The clients were from the agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, real estate development, construction, professional services, retail, and technology industries. In the last few years he has worked extensively with vineyards and wineries. His areas of expertise involve tax planning and tax compliance, as well as transaction planning and business consulting, and estate planning.

Wayne has been married to his wife Kathy for 40 years. They enjoy traveling with their friends and spending time with family. They have two children, Kristen and Kate and a grandson Colt. Both daughters are married and live in the San Luis Obispo area.
